For Advanced Divers & Shark Lovers Only
Welcome to one of the wildest diving experiences in Panama. At Underwater Coiba, we take certified divers beyond the boundaries of everyday diving—to the remote Northern Contreras Islands, where encounters with hammerhead, bull, and blacktip reef sharks are not rare… they’re expected.
The waters around Coiba National Park host more than 30 species of sharks, and while reef sharks are seen year-round on nearly every dive, the Contreras Islands offer something extra—especially between April and July, when sightings of schooling hammerheads become more frequent.
This is a true shark diving adventure. Powerful currents, deep blue drop-offs, and pelagic species make it a top destination for those who crave raw, untamed diving.
