Become a certified diver in one of the most stunning marine parks on the planet. With Underwater Coiba, you can earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification, the world’s most recognized entry-level scuba course—allowing you to dive independently up to 18 meters (60 feet) anywhere in the world.
This 3-day course combines expert instruction, hands-on practice, and unforgettable dives in the crystal-clear waters of Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with marine life.
Course Overview
Day 1 – Knowledge Development
Learn the foundational concepts of scuba diving: safety procedures, dive planning, buoyancy control, and underwater communication.

Day 2 – Confined Water Dives
In calm, shallow water, you'll build confidence as you practice essential dive skills under the guidance of our certified instructors. These pool-like conditions provide the perfect environment for mastering basic techniques.
Day 3 – Open Water Dives
Head into the open ocean for four training dives in real dive conditions. Here, you'll apply everything you've learned—diving to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet) across several sites within Coiba's vibrant reef system.
